Police books three notorious drug smugglers under PIT NDPS Act
Srinagar: Police booked three notorious drug smugglers under PIT NDPS Act in Baramulla after obtaining formal detention orders from competent authority, a police spokesman said Friday.
The notorious drug smugglers namely Shahid Hussain Dar son of Ghulam Hassan resident of Sultanpora Pattan, Mohammad Saleem Sheikh @ Mass son of Abdul Rashid resident of Malikbagh Pattan and Nazaar Ahmad Bhatti son of Bawar Ali resident of Madiyan Kamalkote Uri have been booked under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority. The booked drug smugglers have been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jammu.
Pertinently, many cases are registered against these drug smugglers and were involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Uri, Kamalkote, Madiyan, Pattan, Sultanpora and other areas of District. Despite their involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their activities and were again involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth.
