Final batch of 343 polling teams leave for designated polling stations in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR: In the final leg of preparations for  Lok Sabha elections, the last batch of 343 polling parties (including 113 poll parties for 48- Inderwal,136 for 49- Kishtwar and 94 for 50-Paddar,Nagseni Constituencies) left for designated polling stations, here Thursday.

Under the meticulous supervision of District Election Officer (DEO),; Dr. Devansh Yadav, the district Election department has ensured that all necessary arrangements are in place for a seamless voting process.

The polling parties, comprising polling staff and security personnel (including JKP, BSF, and CRPF), are entrusted with the responsibility of conducting fair and transparent elections in their respective constituencies.

Equipped with requisite material and trained in electoral procedures, the polling parties are poised to facilitate the democratic exercise with efficiency and integrity.

The teams were provided with all logistics like kits, raincoats, umbrellas, waterproof cover for EVMs and all other necessary materials.

As many as 75 Micro Observers have been deployed at cut-off and critical polling stations, while 19 Intermediate Strong Rooms have been kept under 24×7 CCTV surveillance for smooth conduct of elections.

The DEO has appealed to citizens to extend their full cooperation to the  polling parties and abide by electoral guidelines to ensure a smooth and peaceful voting experience for all.
