Police arrests two drug peddlers in Baramulla

Srinagar: Police arrested two drug peddlers in Baramulla and recovered contraband substances from their possession, a police spokesman said Friday.

He said that a police party at a checkpoint established at Palhallan, intercepted a person identified as Aamir Ahmad Gojree @Anaconda son of Mohammad Ramzan resident of Gojri Mohalla Palhallan. During search, officers were able to recover 108 grams of Charas from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody.

In a similar action, a police party arrested a drug peddler identified as Syed Mohammad Shah son of Syed Ismail Shah resident of Kripalpora Payeen. During search, 105 grams of Charas was recovered from his possession. He has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody, he added.

Accordingly, cases under relevant sections of law have been registered and investigation have been initiated, the spokesman said.
