Distt Admin B’pora celebrates Armed Forces Flag Day-2023
BANDIPORA: The District Administration Bandipora Thursday celebrated Armed Forces Flag Day to honor both soldiers serving in India’s armed forces as well as veterans.
The program was chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, M Ashraf Hakak and was attended by ADC Bandipora, ACP Bandipora, District Officers, officers from Zila Sainik Welfare and other concerned.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC said that the aim of celebrating Armed Forces Flag Day is to offer our gratitude to brave heroes from Armed Forces and give the civilian population a chance to contribute to the welfare of Armed Forces Personnel.
Hakak said it is our obligation to honor the martyrs and surviving heroes as well as their families who played a key role in this sacrifice.
He said all the citizens should voluntarily contribute towards the noble cause that extends various welfare schemes to ex-servicemen fraternity and their dependents.
The program also witnessed a fund raising event to contribute generously to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.
