Two Students from the Region Selected for Top 60 Innovations

Srinagar: In a display of innovation and talent, two students from Jammu and Kashmir have made their mark on the national stage by being selected in the prestigious 10th National Level and Project Competition (NLEPC), INSPIRE MANAK of 2021–2022.
The INSPIRE MANAK competition witnessed a staggering 7,34,000 ideas submitted from all corners of the country during the 2021–2022 academic year. After a rigorous selection process that spanned school, district, and UT/state levels, only 441 ideas qualified for the final showdown.
Out of this remarkable pool, the top 60 projects were selected by the Department of Science and Technology (DST) and the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) of the Government of India. It is with immense pride that we announce the inclusion of Adil Rashid Bara, a student of HS Lanchanpora in Kupwara, and Preeti Devi from Reasi, among the distinguished group of innovators.
The journey does not end here; through the National Innovation Foundation (NIF), the Government of India will facilitate the development, patenting, and eventual marketing of these pioneering technologies, showcasing the potential for real-world impact.
Dr. Sajad Ahmad Mir, the Nodal Officer for Kashmir at the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Jammu & Kashmir, expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Adil Rashid Bara, Preeti Devi, and all those who played a role, directly or indirectly, in supporting these remarkable students.
This achievement not only brings honor to the region but also serves as a testament to the potential of young minds when given the opportunity to innovate and create. It is a moment of great pride for Jammu and Kashmir, and we look forward to the promising future these young innovators are building.
