DC Kupwara chairs Revenue Officers meeting, reviews their performance

KUPWARA: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan Monday convened a meeting of Revenue Officers at Meeting Hall of DC Office Complex here to review their performance.

At the outset, ACR Kupwara, Irfan Bahadur apprised the chair through a detailed PowerPoint presentation regarding functioning of the revenue department and the performance of the officers.

The DC reviewed all agenda points including Jamabandies, Quality check, Back-log Mutations, Status of Geo-referencing, SVAMITVA (Survey of Villages and Mapping with Improvised Technology in Village Areas), Status of Agricultural Census, Issuance of Pass books (generations and distributions), Fencing of retrieved land, Status of Mutations, Status of Girdawaries, Status of revenue court cases, RCCM Portal and other related issues.

On the occasion, DC also sought feedback from the concerned officers.

The DC while stressing for better service delivery, directed the officers and field functionaries for improving their performance and ensuring sticking to the timeline.

While reviewing the status of Jamabandies and quality check, DC gave a deadline of 10 days to officers to complete the process and asked NTs, Tehsildars, and SDMs to take the ownership of quality check of Jamabandies.

The DC directed ACR Kupwara to get the updates of the progress on a daily basis and seek the certificates about the correctness of the Jamabandis from concerned Tehsildars.

While reviewing the fencing of the retrieved State land, DC directed officers to prioritize the fencing of the retrieved state land.

On the occasion ADC Kupwara, Gh.Nabi Bhat  asked the concerned officers to work out on a fund requirement plan for fencing of retrieved state land and send proposal to the DC office.

The DC directed officers to focus on Revenue Court Cases and get them uploaded on RCCMS (Revenue court Cases Monitoring System) Portal.

She also directed officers to stick to the deadline of 10 days and finish the pending revenue works.

The DC asked officers to submit the court case reports within the timeline and follow-up them.

She further directed officers and field functionaries to be responsive to the people, remain available for them, interact with them and prioritize the dispute resolution.

She also emphasized Revenue Officers to co-operate with BDOs in identification of suitable land for important projects.

The meeting was attended by ADC Kupwara, ACR Kupwara, SDM Lolab, SDM Karnah, DIO Kupwara, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other concerned officers.
