Police arrests three persons for illegal extraction, transportation of minerals
Srinagar: Acting tough against the persons involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, police arrested three persons and seized three vehicles in Baramulla, a police spokesman said Friday.
He said that a police party seized three vehicles (excavator, 2 tractors) and arrested 03 persons for illegal extraction and transportation of minerals at Dargam Nallah Pattan. They have been identified as Showkat Ahmad Sheikh son of Shabir Ahmad Sheikh resident of Kangan Ganderbal, Javid Ahmad Waza son of Ghulam Qadir Waza resident of Frestihar Kreeri & Owais Ahmad Bhat son of Mohd Rafiq Bhat resident of Pakipora.
Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Pattan and further investigation has been initiated, he added.
