Banks in Bandipora disburse Rs 292.94 Cr loans in priority sector

BANDIPORA: The District Consultative Committee/ District Level Review Committee (DCC/DLRC) meeting of Bandipora District was held on Monday at Mini Secretariat on Monday.

The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Ali Afsar Khan; JD Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad; Dr Asif DDM; Lead District Manager Bandipora, Shabir A. Dar; NABARD and District Coordinators of all the Banks, Govt. departments and other development agencies.

It was given out that Banks operating in Bandipora district have disbursed an amount of Rs 292.94 Crores in priority sector against the annual target of Rs.895 crores registering 33 percent achievement and Rs.231.96 Crores in non-priority sector against the annual target of Rs.128 Crores witnessing 181 percent achievement.

Besides, there has been a total credit disbursement of 524.49 crores against the yearly target of Rs.1023.30 crore registering an achievement of 51% of the annual credit plan 2022-23 for quarter ending December 2022.

Lead District Manager Bandipora informed the meeting that J&K Bank alone has disbursed Rs.227.26 crores under priority sector and 159.48 crores under Non priority sector aggregating to total credit of Rs. 386.74 cr showing an achievement of 73.68% contribution towards total credit dispensation in the district.

The performance with respect to social security schemes under Mission Utkarsh was also discussed and the chair emphasized the need for roping in the people under social security schemes with joint coordination of all concerned agencies.

Besides reviewing the performance of Banks & Govt. departments under various schemes, the line agencies were directed to sponsor quality cases and the Banks for speedy disposal of Govt. Sponsored cases.
