POEM: Kashmir the Paradise

Located in country’s northernmost region,
Enclosed by snow-clad mountains.
Picturesque landscape of the valley,
Due to abundance of gleaming lakes.
Green pastures and vast meadows,
Dominance of dense evergreen forests,
Making it more splendid and adorable.
Varied habitable pleasant seasons,
Making it a model of paradise on planet.
The gracefully magical spring season,
Most charming welcomed by tulips, lotuses,
Vibrant flowers, narcissus, hyacinths,
Cherry, almond and peach blossoms,
Rejuvenating fully human hearts and lives.
The scorching heat during it’s summer,
The murmuring water of rivers and streams,
Flowing due to snow melting of glaciers,
Attract visitors of every corner of globe.
The blazing amber leaves of Chinar,
And dancing fall of dry-withered others,
Harvesting of crops, fruits during Autumn,
Makes the life more blissful and colourful.
The hanging icicles and frozen Dal,
Dancing snowflakes and white landscape,
Skiing, snow-biking amid icy-cold winter,
Makes it India’s Switzerland on globe.
An abode of peace and tranquillity,
Kashmir thy name is heaven on earth.
