Cleaning products turning harmful
Letter to the Editor
Dear Sir,
Following Covid-19, a number of sanitizers, aerosol sprays, and cleaning products have hit the market and claim to be 99.9% germ-free. However, the majority of these chemicals emit lung-harming fumes.
Even when we use them on surfaces, the chemicals in our breathable air cause the smell to linger rather than the scent of fresh air. In the home, chemical cleaning products are a frequent source of pollution that endangers our health by releasing volatile organic compounds into the air.
Therefore, this needs to be reviewed by the relevant ministry to prevent household pollution.
