Covid mock drill held at health institutions of Kupwara

KUPWARA: The hospital administrations of Kupwara and Handwara on Tuesday conducted COVID Mock Drill at respective Hospitals to check the readiness of men and machinery in the health institutions of the district.

The drill was conducted on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Doifode Sagar Dattatray.

On the occasion, it was revealed that mock drills were held in different health institutions of the district to ensure their readiness to deal with any eventuality related to the novel virus, following an advisory by the Centre.

The Chief Medical Officer Kupwara and Medical Superintendents of DH Handwara and SDH Kupwara displayed the readiness of machinery equipment and other facilities, besides manpower.

It was informed that the administration is in the state of readiness to deal with any eventuality of the new variant of the virus.

The mock drill was also held at AYUSH HWC Kulangam under the supervision of the respective Medical Officer.

The detailed presentation was given to ASHA workers and Trained voluntary workers regarding preparedness and facilities available at AYUSH HWC Kulangam.

Besides, covid mock drills were also held by various BMOs in CHCs and PHCs.
