BUDGAM: The Chairman District Development Council Budgam Nazir Ahmad Khan on Wednesday inaugurated the renovation work on Makhama-Paripora bridge.

Khan was accompanied by Chief Engineer PWD (R&B) Kashmir.

On the occasion, Nazir Ahmad Khan expressed gratitude to the J&K LG administration for expediting the work of renovation and completing the requisites in the shortest possible time.

“The renovation work is being undertaken at the cost of Rs 1.85 crore which will help in the restoration of movement across the Magam area,” the spokesman said.

Pertinently, the bridge was declared unsafe by the authorities a few months ago after it developed cracks.
