Shopian admin designates BDOs as Registrars of Births & Deaths
SHOPIAN: The district administration Shopian on Monday asked the general public to approach their respective BDO offices for the purpose of new registration of births and deaths, instead of SHO offices.
The decision was taken in consonance with the recent Government order under which BDOs have been notified as Registrars of Births and Deaths for institutional and domiciliary in rural areas.
“This release has been necessitated in view of instances of people approaching SHO offices rather than BDO offices for the purpose of registration,” the spokesman said.
