LCMA holds demolition drive in various Sgr areas
SRINAGAR: The Enforcement Wing of Lake Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA) on Saturday conducted a demolition drive in various areas of Srinagar.
The areas where demolition drive was held include Brein Nishat, Ishber Nishat, Saderbal, Check Saderbal, Doodh Mohalla NFR, Pazwalpora Shalimar, Saida Kadal, Wangund Teilbal and Danpora Teilbal.
During the drive, four Single Storeys, one each 3rd Storey, shuttering for plinth, shop and shuttering for compound Walling were demolished and removed.
Moreover, illegal earth filling dumped in the area of Brein Nishat and Saida Kadal were also removed on the spot.
Further, legal action against the violators was also initiated as well.
“The people in these areas are warned not to resort to any illegal constructions and encroachments. The residents should get proper building permission from the competent Authority before taking any construction in hand,” the spokesman said.
