Illegal extraction of minerals: One held, 3 vehicles seized in Budgam: Police
Srinagar: Police have arrested one person and seized three vehicles in Budgam over their involvement in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals, a police spokesman said on Saturday.
The spokesman said a police party of Police Station Beerwah raided Nallah Sukhnag at Ohnagam and seized three vehicles (Tractors) and arrested one person.
“The arrested person has been identified as Safeer Ahmad Teli son of Mohammad Sabir Teli resident of Ohnagam,” he said.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 148/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Beerwah and investigation has been taken up.
“Efforts are on to arrest the other two absconding accused persons who managed to escape from the spot,” the police spokesman said.
