World Sight Day celebrated at Anantnag
ANANTNAG: A World Sight day with the theme ‘Love Your Eyes’ was celebrated at various health institutions across Anantnag district.
Nearly 500 health workers including Medical Officers, Specialists, Paramedical staff, technical staff, students and General Public participated in the event.
The event was aimed at spreading awareness regarding visual impairment, blindness, visual care and other ocular issues.
The participants were briefed about medical causes and symptoms of glaucoma, presbyopia and advised to screen for disease at their nearest healthcare facility regularly.
The awareness drives were also held in various educational institutions and public places.
