ADC Baramulla Chairs Road Safety Committee Meeting
BARAMULLA: Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Zahoor Ahmad Raina Monday chaired a District Road Safety Committee meeting (DRSC),during which an action plan for road safety measures was discussed.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore Parveez Sajad, Sub Divisional Magistrate Pattan, Syed Faheem,Sub Divisional Magistrate Gulmarg, Assistant Commissioner Development Yaar Ali Khan, SE R&B,ARTO Baramulla Anees Wani, Dy Director Fire & Emergency Ab Khaliq Wani, Dy CEO Balbir Singh Raina,Dy SP Traffic, Executive Engineer R&B, PMGSY, Executive Officers Of Municipal Committees and various other concerned Officers were present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed threadbare agenda points including raising awareness about Road Safety, Removal of Encroachments, hoardings, Traffic Management, identification of black spots, fixing of road signages and erecting of crash barriers, strict implementation of provisions of Motor Vehicle Act-2019, implementation of GPS in commercial vehicles and other allied issues.
Addressing the meeting, the ADC stressed for identifying black spots, initiating remedial measures, installation of signage and painting of roads at appropriate spots and generation of awareness for making roads safer in the district.
