DC Kulgam reviews functioning of RDD

KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat on Tuesday convened a meeting here to review the progress of works being executed by the Rural Development Department proposed under District Capex Budget (DCB) 2022-23, MGNREGA, 14th FC and B2V-3 and SBM
The DC also reviewed the achievements under the targeted, estimation, tendering and allotment status, works completed etc.
During the meeting, ACD Mohammad Imran Khan informed the chair that under District Capex 2022-23 there are a total of 1744 works and all stands tendered.
He shared the breakup and current status of these works and informed the chair that out of these 917 works have been taken up and 218 works stand completed.
With regard to PMAY-G, ACD informed the chair that out of a target of 1114 the first installment has been released to 900 beneficiaries and the 2nd installment has been given to 346 beneficiaries.
It was also given out that there are 41180 active job card holders and DDC directed the concerned to increase the number of job card holders in the district. He also instructed the concerned to ensure 100 percent Aadhar linkage.
During the meeting, it was also given out that the number of works under MGNREGA for this financial year is 17144 including works of sockage/compost pits.
ACD informed the chair that the percentage of timely payment is 99.70 percent and the district has generated 3.16 lac PDs and wage expenditure of Rs. 6.83 crore has also been made.
The DC instructed officers to work in coordination and synergy to ensure smooth and speedy execution of works in all blocks.
He also directed the officers to start work on all allotted works immediately in all blocks and ensure timely completion of all work projects.
While reviewing the physical progress under 14th-FC, the chair was informed that there were 6616 approved works under 14th-FC and 6292 works stand completed.
During the meeting, the DC also reviewed the status of works of B2V and SBM.
The meeting was attended by JD-Planning, ACD, DPO, Ex. Engineer REW, BDOs, AEEs and other concerned officers.
