Anti-encroachment drive held at Heff Shopian
45 Kanals of state land retrieved
SHOPIAN: A joint team of Revenue and Police Officers headed by Tehsildar, Chitragam, SDPO, Zainapora on Saturday held an anti-encroachment drive at Village Heff of Tehsil Chitragam.
The drive was held on the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya.
During the drive 45 kanals of state and kahcharai land was on spot retrieved from the land grabbers/ encroachers of the village.
The drive was monitored and supervised by SDM Zainapora, Mushtaq Ahmad.
Notably the district administration Shopian has on various occasions appealed people against indulging in state/kahcharai land encroachments and warned of strict action against those persons found involved in the encroachments.
The administration also intends to conduct anti-encroachment drives in the future as well to retrieve the illegal usurped lands.
