Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: LG Manoj Sinha inaugurates CBC’s exhibition

Kathua: The Central Bureau of Communication Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India Regional Office Jammu on Thursday organized a photo exhibition on the theme ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and ‘Ghar Ghar Tiranga’ through its Field Office Kathua. The exhibition was held in coordination with District Administration Kathua.
The Exhibition showcased India’s struggle for freedom through display panels.
Major events of the freedom struggle showcased at the exhibition included Revolt of 1857, Non- Cooperation Movement, Establishment of Home rule, Champaran Satyagraha, Kheda Satyagraha, Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, Khilafat Movement, Chauri-Chaura Incident, Dandi March or Namak Satyagraha, Azad Hind Fauj, Quit India Movement and partition of India. A special facet was also put up to highlight the contribution of freedom fighters belonging to J&K and Ladakh.
Selfie corner, cutouts of national heroes and ‘New India Samachar’ magzine of Govt of India were the main attraction for the youth.
Hundreds of people visited the exhibition which helped them in inculcating the passion of nationalism among the youth and to make them understand the hardships faced by freedom fighters and their sacrifices to achieve the goal of freedom.
J&K Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha paid homage to the national heroes on the occasion.
