Bandipora remains abuzz with ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ activities

Around 5000 students participate in Tiranga rally held at NM Hr. Secondary B’pora

BANDIPORA: The schools in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district are abuzz with various activities organised in connection with ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative being celebrated under the aegis of ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
The activities are organized by different departments in collaboration with the district administration.
As part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ initiative, a massive Tiranga rally was held at NM Higher Secondary School Bandipora on Wednesday with the aim to strengthen the movement. Around 5000 students took part in the tiranga rally amid chanting slogans of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ giving boost to the campaign.
District Nodal Officer Bandipora, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak also participated in the rally.
The rally was attended by Dy.CEO Bandipora, Mohammad Rafiq Parray; Teachers besides other staff members of the NM Hr Secondary School and adjacent schools.
Speaking on the occasion, District Nodal Officer said that Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is being celebrated as part of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to encourage people to bring ‘Tiranga’ home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of Independence.
He said the idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and to promote awareness about the Indian National Flag.
Hakak said various activities are being conducted by different departments and schools across Bandipora district.
Under this initiative, painting competitions were organised in all the Anganwadi centres of the district.
The District Nodal Officer who is also District Programme Officer informed that all the Anganwadi centres actively participated in ‘Har Gahr Tiranga’ initiative.
