Two killed, four injured as mud house collapses in Reasi

Jammu: Two persons were killed and four others injured after a mud house collapsed due to heavy rainfall in Reasi district on Saturday, officials said.
The incident took place in high-altitude Khanikot Doke area where the victims had gone to graze cattle, they said.
Six people were living in the mud house. Due to heavy rains, it collapsed, resulting in the death of a man and a woman and injuries to four persons, the officials said.
Many goats also died in the incident, they said.
The official identified the deceased as Madan Singh, 22, son of Gyan Chand and Joja Devi, 42, wife of Rattan Singh, both residents of Khanikot and at present Monimal (Kotha).
The injured have been identified as Surjeet Singh, Sunil Singh, Lacho Devi and Kako Devi, all residents of the same area.
Meanwhile, SHO Arnas, Jeet Singh confirmed the incident and said that the injured have been shifted to nearby hospital for treatment.
