ADDC inaugurates Digital Mela at Pulwama

PULWAMA: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Pulwama Abdul Aziz Sheikh on Monday inaugurated the celebrations of Digital Week.
He also inaugurated a Mela and flagged -off unique Jhanki showcasing digital initiatives.
Several departments had installed their stalls showcasing initiatives under the Digital India campaign.
The departments provided on spot e-services being offered by the respective departments including Adhar enrollment, Golden Cards, various services of Revenue Dept, issuance of land passbooks besides other services that can be availed online by public.
The departments provided awareness about these services to the visitors. ADDC visited all the stalls and interacted with the resource persons of respective departments at the stalls besides meeting the visitors.
Sheikh urged the people to avail the benefits of these initiatives that have eased the process of availing various government services.
He said that digital literacy was very vital and people from all sections shall be made digital literate so that benefits of advancements in Information Technology reach everyone.
The ADDC said that during the week-long celebrations several activities are being organised to raise awareness about digital services being offered by the government.
