DC Bandipora reviews JJM

BANDIPORA: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmed on Saturday reviewed the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission in a meeting held at Mini Secretariat, here.
During the meeting, the DC took detailed review of tendering, allotment of work and other issues.
The meeting was informed that the Jal Shakti Department has achieved a target of 64.12 percent for providing water connections to households. It was also apprised that since the launch of JJM 11065 households have been provided water connections.
It was informed in the meeting that 120 schemes are proposed for district Bandipora out of which 12 are functional.
The concerned officers informed the DC that 108 schemes are to be taken up under JJM out of which 41 were authorised during the meeting.
Dr. Owais directed the concerned officers to monitor the works regularly and ensure quality in works. He stressed on early removal of bottlenecks for timely completion of all works.
He emphasized upon officers to involve PRIs in the execution and post execution management of schemes for better results.
The meeting was attended by Vice Chairman District Development Council, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, DDC Members and other concerned officers of Jal Shakti Department.
