Admin holds block diwas at Kulgam
KULGAM: The District Administration Kulgam Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands.
The events were held in three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D. H.Pora.
The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi remained available at Townhall Kulgam where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.
On the occasion, PRIs, Civil Society members and locals apprised the ADDC of various issues and grievances related to the development of their respective areas.
The issues highlighted included, smooth water and electricity supply, macadamization of roads, development of parks, playfields, drainage, sanitation etc.
The ADDC after giving patient ear to the visiting delegations redressed several issues on the spot and assured of resolving all the genuine issues in a time bound manner.
Meanwhile, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam Showkat Ahmad Rather remained available at Block Devsar and listened to issues and grievances of people for redressal.
Similarly, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Noorabad, Umer Shafi Pandith listened to people at D.H.Pora.
People put forth their issues and grievances at both these places which were listened to by the visiting officers for early redressal and several demands of immediate nature were also redressed on spot.
