Signature Campaign to Eliminate Child Labour held at Bandipora

Bandipora: A signature campaign was held at Bandipora on Thursday as part of the week long campaign for elimination of Child Labour.
The week-long campaign was organised jointly by Integrated Child Protection Services, Labour Department, JKSWM, Alim Adab Aab Foundation and Elixir Garden School.
The signature campaign was organised in collaboration with Traders Federation Bandipora at main market Bandipora to spread the awareness about the child labour.
A good number of participants including students, employees, traders and various civil society representatives took part in the campaign and took pledge to fight against child labour.
The week long campaign was kick started on June 12 under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Dr. Owais Ahmad.
Child Protection Official ICPS Bandipora said that Child Labour is a social problem and every section of society need to come forward for eradicating this menace.
Secretary JKSWM Rehana Akhter appealed to the general public and educational institutions during the signature campaign, to come forward and cooperate and coordinate with all such organizations and departments working for child protection.
She also thanked all the departments, organizations and participants for taking their active part and role in today’s signature campaign and for making it a great success.
