AMK holds 41st Annual Conference : Scores of Writers, Intellectuals, Poets Participate

Srinagar: The 41st Annual Kashmiri Conference of Adbee Markaz Kamraz (AMK) Jammu and Kashmir was held at Degree College, Khawaja Bagh, Baramulla, a statement issued by the organization said here. The conference was organizes with the support of Government Degree College, Baramulla.
The conference was attended by writers, intellectuals, leading personalities and some prominent women of Kashmir society. The theme of this year’s conference was ‘Maj-e-Zaiv Te Khawateenan Hund Role.’
The conference started with the recitation of Holy Quran and Naat by Vice President (Second) of AMK Javid Iqbal Marvi.
Meanwhile, prayers were offered in the memory of Dr Aziz Hajni, Dr Shujaat Bukhari and others. After that the anthem of AMK was played.
In the inaugural session, President of AMK Muhammad Amin Butt delivered the welcome address. Meanwhile, General Secretary of the literary analog Shabnam Talgami presented the annual report of the AMK.
The inaugural session of the conference was presided over by Justice (retd) Bashir Ahmed Kirmani while as Prof. Shad Ramzan,Ghulam Nabi Atash, Principal Degree College Baramulla Prof. Abdul Majeed Chalko and President AMK’s Muhammad Amin Butt were also present. Speakers at the session highlighted the issues being faced by the Kashmiri language and its importance. The session was chaired by Shabnam Telgami, General Secretary of the AMK.
In the first session of the conference, Rukhsana Jabeen, former head of All India Radio, Srinagar, delivered a keynote address on the topic of ‘Maj-e-Zaiv Te Khawateenan Hund Role’. The session was presided over by Prof. Naseem Shafai, Prof. Musarrat Gilani, Dr. Nilufer Naz Nahvi, Rafiqa Rafiq and Farida Shoq also expressed their views about the topic.
Resolutions were presented in the second session of the conference. Which were arranged in the context of the problems faced by the Kashmiri language. In addition, the grant-in-aid provided by the Cultural Academy for the publication of books and to literary and cultural organizations of Jammu and Kashmir was demanded to be released as an earliest.
This session was chaired by Prof. Muhammad Zaman Azurdah, renowned Writer, Scholar and Writer. Farooq Shaheen, AMK’s Secretary, conducted proceedings of this session.
In the third session of the conference, famous young journalist Rifat Abdullah, Director School Education Kashmir Dr. Tassaduq Hussain and renowned Naat Khawan of Dargah Sharif Hazratbal Srinagar Abul Hassan Farooqi were conferred with the Khalat-e-Hanafi Sopoori awards.
The session was chaired by Prof. Shakeel Ahmed Ramsho Vice Chancellor of Islamic University of Science and Commerce Awantipora. The Director Tourism Kashmir Dr. GN Itoo graced this session as Chief Guest. Prof. Muhammad Zaman Azarda and Naseem Shafai were also present in the presidium.
During the same session a special issue on Dr. Syed Shujaat Bukhari and Atiqa Bahan Ji was also released.
At the end of the conference, Syed Akhtar Hussain Mansoor, Vice President (1st) of AMK, thanked all the participants, guests, and the principal and staff of Degree College Barmullah. The conference was also supported by Parsa’s Food Chain and Tourism Department Kashmir.
