Single Use Plastic Waste:Signature campaign culminates at PSPS Government PG College

JAMMU: The Three Day Signature Campaign on the theme- Say No to Single Use Plastic, organised by Eco-Club and NSS units of Padma Shri Padma Sachdev Govt. P.G College for Women Gandhi Nagar Jammu from March 26, 2022 concluded, here today. The campaign was organized to enforce an Action Plan for Elimination of Single Use Plastic in Constituent Colleges of CLUJ.
Dr. Sangita Nagari, the Principal of the College pioneered the launch of Signature Campaign on March 26, 2022 in the presence of Faculty and Students.
Speaking on the occasion, she appreciated the efforts of members and students of Eco Club, NSS volunteers and Single use plastic elimination Squad of the College for launching such a campaign to spread awareness about the menace caused by plastic waste and stressed that more such events should be organised to raise awareness about environmental issues.
Prof. Mala Bhasin, NSS Programme Officer, sensitized the participants about the harmful effects of plastic on human health and environment.
Prof Nisha Bhagat, Convener Eco-club, in her address to the gathering, emphasised on using eco-friendly products in place of single use plastic commodities. She said simple changes in the lifestyle can bring big changes in beating plastic pollution.
The event was coordinated by the members of Eco Club- Prof. Eisha Gohil, Prof. Shivani Sawhney, Prof. Sugandha Mahajan, Prof. Swarn Singh, Prof. Basharat Hamid and Prof. Rajnesh Kumar.
