Switch to e-vehicles
The Centre Government’s decision to exempt battery-powered vehicles from paying costs for the renewal of their registration certificates and the assignment of new registration marks is a step in the right direction.
In this context, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways published a draught notification proposing to exempt the Central Motor Vehicles Rules, 1989. Within thirty days of the date of issuance of this draught notification, opinions from the general public and all stakeholders were sought.
I am hoping that this decision will inspire people to switch to electric automobiles. This is the need of the hour.
