9th May is celebrated as “Mother’s Day” globally. Mother’s Day was Ist celebrated in 1908 when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother at St Andrew’s Methodist Church Grafton, West Virginia. Mother’s Day is celebrated in order to honour a mother’s role in our lives. It’s only a mother who can sacrifice her life for her children. No one else can do this. She is the real combatant, a real warrior in our lives.
The mother is always honoured far above even the father because of the tremendous significance of her role in the family and society. The mother is the very anchor, the bedrock and the foundation of the family. The position of the mother in this world is highest because it is the only place in which to learn and exercise altruism.
Though all the days are dedicated to the mothers whose efforts bring the child up to that age where he becomes something. To remind the world of the role and significance of mothers, we celebrate the day. Honour the mothers according to the ways we feel. To thank her for everything she has done and bore the struggles in raising up the children. How she makes the society and culture. How she adores the family and buds. She is a gardener of the family who waters all the plants equally.
The first school and teacher of every child is a mother. She withholds a universe within. All the qualities are present in her, a teacher, friend, mate and much more she is. On this day we salute the power, patience, faith and qualities that mothers give to their children. Every great personality comes from the same womb of a mother and then the mother moulds him.
Mother is the only person who takes us in her womb for nine months day and night and she never complains about that. After the nourishment of nine months she delivered us with bearing the most dreadful pain only to give us birth, she bleeds like a river, she almost tastes death at that time but she never utters a single word of any regret. She not only gives us birth but she nourishes us with her love, warmth. She paints the future of her babies, with the brush, she conceals her bursaries.
Mother is the most sacred word in the world, because she sacrifices her existence only to raise her children’s. She is the most beautiful soul on earth, because she is the reason of our smile. There are thousands of things, thousands of sacrifices which she did only for us. And she never complains for anything even she hides her pain just to make her children happy. Mother is the true angel of life. She courageously defended her children’s even when she knows that they are wrong.
When a child is disappointed in his life, then only one person believes in him. When everyone tells him that he is wrong but, she believes in him and stand with him. When everyone leaves his hand, she holds his hand by promising to never leave him alone. When the whole world is against him, then she is the only supporter. She is the only one who makes you understand how to talk, how to walk, how to eat and how to differentiate between good and bad, right and wrong.
Mother’s love is so unique and so very rare. There cannot be a better gift than a mother to a child. Her heart is so clean, beautiful and strong. The love that a mother has for us is very rare and unconditional. She can fight against the whole world only for her children’s. She is a root for her child, just like that of a tree and a shade in hot summer heat.
Mother has been said as the noblest soul in the world after God. As rightly said…the heaven lies under the feet of mother signifies the importance and grandeur of a mother.
