Two militants killed, Army Major, SPO injured in Pattan encounter
Srinagar, Sep 04: Two militants were killed, an army major and a policeman injured in an ongoing encounter in Yadipora area of Pattan in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
A senior Police officer said that another militant has been killed in an ongoing encounter taking toll to 02, however their identification couldn’t be ascertained yet.
The police officer further said that one policeman identified as Naseer Ahmad also received bullet wound during exchange of fire, was subsequently shifted to SKIMS Soura hospital for specialized treatment.
As per the sources one more militant is still believed to be holed up.
In the initial exchange of firing a Major of 29 RR was also injured, who was evacuated to 92 Base hospital for treatment. (GNS)
