All the responsible and leaders of our valley should wake up and seek a capital punishment for such immoral crimes

Farhad Ahmad Pir

What I can write, my pen and the paper itself are shedding tears. The ink in the pen froze. Do I write to reveal our own disgraceful and heinous crimes or let it be shrouded or kept willingly ignoramus?
Obnoxious and shocking episodes are unfolded greatly since from one month. If some scandalous events are unwrapped but my mind also takes liberty to think of those innocents which become the object of the wild beasts but whose innocence is wiped out and their voice is unheard and we are giving deaf ears to their woes.
There must be many untold tales of sinful acts but due to social stigma and the tag that a victim carries, most of the reprehensible events remain under the carpet. This sort of crime which is inflicted upon womenfolk, it makes a female speechless and disrespected and helpless and these innocent victims undergo a deep strain of taunt and disgrace only after its revelation.
It’s only from one month that some intolerable crimes have been rapidly entrapping our peer valley which we proudly called a valley of saints. This incident ought to have made the consciousness of sensible members and stakeholders and religious men of the society shaken and shattered and at the same time it must have awaken them from a deep slumber. It must have opened their inactive and sleepy eyes.
My eyes are shedding tears so profusely and each tear falls with a question why innocent girls are being victimized. The pen in my hand shudders and does not help me in jotting down the shameful act that happened a few days ago with a girl baby only three years old.
A three year old baby is so delicate and tender like a flower, it could not tolerate even landing of a bee while sucking juice out of it. This shameful news spreads like a wild fire, it strikes our mind and soul and our warm blood starts roaring to take the culprit and its advocators to stringent punishment.
All the responsible and leaders of our valley should wake up and seek a capital punishment for such immoral crimes. An exigent step must be taken how to stop this aberrant crime against our sisters. Time has come up now to find a permanent solution without letting our beloved ones to fall prey to these wicked hoodlums every day.
What I wrote, the culprit needs a capital punishment. A punishment could be such as it should create terror for capital punishment and create a fear of sentence in the minds of other thugs.
In order to stop this monstrous crime, Ulemas must take it seriously and even teachers can try to do it at individual level as well. The best thing we can do is to provide Islamic knowledge to both boys as well as girls and suggest them ways of avoiding the prevailing dangerous situations.
Mostly girls should be given knowledge as how to avoid strangers. As situations are made so, parents must not leave the girls in the company of unknown and untrustworthy people. Most significant is that we have to install a positive mindset up.
