Man dies after fall from rooftop while clearing snow
Srinagar: A man died after slipping from the roof top of his house while clearing snow in Bandipora town of north Kashmir.
Deputy Commissioner Bandipora Shahid Iqbal Choudary said that the person identified as Mumtaz Ahmad, a shopkeeper of Ward 4 of Bandipora received serious head injuries after he fell from the rooftop of his two-storey house while clearing the snow.
He was immediately shifted to district hospital however, he died due to grave injuries, DC said.
“The DC expressed grief over his death and extended assistance of Rs 4 Lakh for the family,” he said.
Mukhtar was a father of famous cricketer Faizan Illahi.(GNS)
