Identify those involved in desecration of Jamia: Mirwaiz to people
Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday asked people to identify the culprits involved in desecration of the Jamia mosque in Srinagar.
Addressing a gathering in the premises of Jamia Masjid, Mirwaiz called for unity to expose black sheep involved in desecration of Jamia Masjid.
He asked people and Ulema to offer Friday congressional prayers at Jamia Masjid coming Friday. He also said the same Friday will be commemorated as ‘Yaum-e-Taqadus’
“Mosques adjacent to Jamia will remain closed on coming Friday and people will reach Jamia to offer prayers at Jamia Masjid.”
Notably, Mirwaiz Monday visited the grand masjid and took stock of the situation following the desecration of its pulpit last Friday.
