Media blitz by Guv: Omar raises questions
Srinagar: While state administration is vehemently publishing, circulating its achievements in print and electronic media, former chief minister Omar Abdullah Wednesday took a jibe on governor over the frequent appearance of ‘achievements’ by calling it a ‘PR blitz.’
Omar apparently said that the achievements will ‘not’ determine the ‘success’ or the ‘failure’ of his stint in the state, but how a way is paved for the popular government in the state.
He said that the governor will ‘not’ be judged by the PR campaign that has been launched, but the standard of judging him (Governor) will be his ‘swiftness’ in providing a popular government to the people of the state.
He also said that any delay in letting people have the elected government would be his ‘failure.’
“Jenab Malik Sb has launched a PR blitz. I won’t comment on the appropriateness of this. All I’ll say is that @jandkgovernor will be judged by one yardstick only – how quickly he is able to give the people of J&K a popularly elected government. Any delay will be his failure,” Omar wrote on Twitter.
