Labourer dies in Langate, eight injured
Langate: One laborer died while as eight others were injured after an under construction shopping complex collapsed in Langate area of Kupwara district on Thursday.
Witnesses said that the complex collapsed after labourers were laying concrete on the third floor of the house.
The incident left several labourers injured who were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital.
However, one among the injured labourers succumbed to his injuries. He has been identified as Shams-u-Din Mir of Langate.
“Four of the injured have been referred to Srinagar for specialized treatment,” locals said.
Locals said that the slab of commercial complex collapsed when the laborers were working on the site.
