Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) on Wednesday termed the July 19, 1947 resolutions adopted regarding the disputed status of Jammu Kashmir as ‘unaccomplished’.

DFP’s Secretary General, Moulana Abdullah Tari according to the statement issued here said that “the people of the disputed territory continue to fight for their mission and won’t rest till the goal is accomplished.”

“People of Kashmir were fighting the tyranny and oppression before the partition of the subcontinent and are facing the same situation even today,” he said.

Stressing for tripartite talks or the implementation of the UN resolutions on Kashmir, Tari said the dispute apart from the people of the state is the reason for strained relationship between India and Pakistan and also endangers the peace in the subcontinent.

“India’s stubbornness, arrogance and hegemony are the reason for the prevailing political uncertainty and continuous bloodshed in Kashmir. The lives of the people of Kashmir have been turned into a hell,” he said.

Commenting on the changing geopolitical scenario of the world, he said, “We have to continue our struggle and keep in view how we can attract the world opinion in our favour and garner support of powerful nations to prop up our genuine demands.”

“The need of the hour is to seek the timely suggestions from intellectuals, political, law and business experts, students, and other sections of society, and devise strategies according to the demands of time.”

On the interest shown by various nations on Kashmir, Tari said, “We have been pressing for our genuine demands and hope that world community takes steps in resolving this longstanding dispute.”
