SP and Kothi Bagh Higher Secondary schools to remain closed on Wednesday
As a precautionary measure, authorities have decided to close SP Higher Secondary School and Girls Higher Secondary Scholl Kothibagh on Wednesday.
Fearing more students protest in the city centre, authorities have suspended the class work in these two institutions.
“The class work in these two schools will remain suspended while as other institutions including colleges will remain open tomorrow,” Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Farooq Ahmad Lone said.
On Monday massive clashes erupted on MA road and Residency road after students protest turned violent. Six students were detained and were lodged in police station Kothibagh. In the clashes between students and police Tuesday, SSP Srinagar Imtiyaz Ismail Parray suffered minor injuries.
