Malik recalls sacrifices of Sheikh Aziz on his anniversary
Says Kashmiris are at back of their Jammu brothers
Srinagar: Chairman of Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik Saturday paid tributes to the slain leader Sheikh Abdul Aziz on his 10th anniversary.
Recalling the sacrifices, struggle and personality of this selfless person, Malik as per a statement issued here, said that “Sheikh was a humble soul, a dedicated resistance lover and a great freedom fighter who remained in the front row of resistance and sacrificed his life for the just cause.”
He said that a nation whose sons and daughters have and are rendering valuable sacrifices cannot be suppressed or defeated by oppression or intimidation.
Following the directions of Malik, Zonal organizer Bashir Ahmad Kashmiri along with a delegation participated in a congregational prayers meeting held at martyrs graveyard Eidgah and paid tributes to great slain Sheikh Abdul Aziz.
Condemning the arrest of social activist Advocate Talib Hussain under ‘dubious charges’ and torturing him in custody, killing an innocent Syed Murad Shah at Bithendi Jammu and firing on more innocents at Gool Ramban in which one innocent Mudasir Ahmad Gujjar got martyred, Malik said that once again Jammu is under attack from fascist forces who want to communalize the environment for their petty political gains.
“This intimidation of Muslims in Jammu is unacceptable and we urge Indian rulers to have some sense and refrain from playing with fire,” Malik said, adding that “Kashmiris are at the back of their Jammu brothers and will do everything possible to safeguard their interests.”
