Restrictions in 5 Srinagar police stations tomorrow

According to the District Magistrate Srinagar, restrictions under Section 144 of CrPC will remain in force under the jurisdictions of Police Stations including Nowhatta, M R Gunj, Rainawari, Khanyar and Safakadal in district Srinagar on July 07 (Friday) tomorrow. The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incident.

5 injured in Mendhar road accident

Five persons, including three children, were injured in an accident in Prat village of Mendhar area of Jammu and Kashmir, police said.   The vehicle they were travelling in, met with an accident near power station Prat around 8:35 AM today. The injured were taken to Sub District Hospital Surankote for treatment.

JK Bank employee arrested by police

Police on Wednesday arrested a Jammu and Kashmir Bank employee posted in Chitragam branch in Shopian. The bank’s branch manager Shafiq Ahmad told that he does not know why the employee was arrested. Shopian police chief S A Dinkar said that the investigation is on, and “we have nothing to disclose to media’.
