Another Pilgrim dies at Amarnath base camp, toll reaches seven
A 59-year-old pilgrim from Uttar Pradesh died at the Baltal base camp of Amarnath yatra in central Kashmir.
The deceased has been identified as Banki Lal, a resident of Mohalla Patel Nagar Bisalpur in Uttar Pradesh.
He was feeling unwell yesterday morning and was referred to SKIMS Hospital at Soura from where he was discharged and was brought back to Baltal by his associates.
However, at around 10:30 pm last night, Lal again complained of ill health and was brought to base hospital Baltal where doctors declared him dead, an official said.
Pertinently, this is the seventh death during the ongoing yatra.
