Three gamblers held in north Kashmir’s Tangmarg
Srinagar: Police in Baramulla apprehended three persons while indulging in gambling activities in Tangmarg, a police spokesman said Thursday.
The individuals have been identified as Reyaz Ahmad Shah son of Ghulam Ahmad Shah, Ghulam Hassan Malik son of Ghulam Ahmad Malik, and Mohammad Ashraf Malik son of Mohammad Asadullah Malik.
During the raid, police recovered cash amounting to ₹11,500 along with playing cards being used for gambling. The recovered items were seized on the spot as per legal procedures.
Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 56 under Section 13 of the Gambling Act has been registered at Police Station Tangmarg, and further investigation is underway, the spokesman added.
