Police detains woman under PSA in Baramulla
Srinagar: Police in Baramulla executed a detention warrant under the Jammu & Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA) against Haseena Begum wife of Mohammad Yousf Bhat resident of Sheeri Baramulla who was involved in multiple cases linked to unlawful and anti-national activities, a police spokesman said Saturday.
The detention was carried out following an order issued by the District Magistrate, Baramulla, based on her involvement in several criminal cases registered across different districts.
Acting on the warrant, police took the detenue into preventive custody and lodged her in District Jail Bhaderwah, he said.
