Boy dies after drowning in Nigeen Lake
Srinagar: A boy drowned while bathing in Nigeen Lake near Nigeen Club area of Srinagar on Monday afternoon, officials said.
An official said that a rescue team comprising SDRF Nigeen and others launched a rescue operation soon after receiving information about the incident.
He said the boy was retrieved from the water and shifted to SDH Hazratbal (Habbak), where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The deceased was later identified as Nazil Shakeel Bhat, son of Shakeel Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Nowhatta area of Srinagar.
Meanwhile, police has taken cognizance of the incident and started investigations. (KNO)
