Dear Sir,
Outlaw hazardous Mosquito Coils
Recent reports brief that there is an evidence of health risks for human’s beings for using mosquito repellent incense sticks. It is alarming to note that nearly 85% of these products in the market lack mandatory Central Insecticides Registration approval.
With nearly 70% of doctors identifying respiratory issues linked to this smoke it proves to be as hazardous as cigarette smoke. The facts that 48% of consumers believe these products are safe highlights a major gap in public awareness.
The government must immediately enforce a strict ban on the sale of such illegal and unsafe products. Furthermore, citizens should be encouraged to adopt natural alternatives, such as Ayurvedic herbs and Neem oil. A green environment and safe health must be our topmost priority.
