Ceasefire: A Precarious Economic Band-Aid
The US-Iran ceasefire is a mere tactical pause, not a panacea for a fractured global order. While markets exhale the structural damage to supply chains & investor confidence remains profound.
For India the energy shock is a visceral reality reliance on the Strait of Hormuz exposes a terrifying vulnerability in our macroeconomic framework. With the RBI flagging elevated crude prices and widened account deficits recovery is an optimistic facade.
We aren’t returning to a pre-war normal we are managing a permanent loss. True repair demands more than silence from guns it requires an aggressive shift toward containment before inflation swallows growth entirely.
Geopolitical stability remains a distant mirage amidst this fragile, temporary peace.
