15-year-old from Green Valley Educational Institute breaks convention as skill-based learning opens global doors

Srinagar: In a Valley where lakhs of educated youth await opportunities, a 15-year-old Class 9 student has rewritten the narrative. Tauha, a student of Green Valley Educational Institute (GVEI), has secured a role with Chinar Quantum AI—without a degree or formal resume.
His selection came during the “Silhouette” event held on March 25, where over 50 global scientists, researchers, and founders evaluated participants through real-time assessments. Tauha emerged among two selected candidates, marking a rare breakthrough for a school student.
The achievement follows his four-month training at the GVEI Innovation Hub, a first-of-its-kind school-based deep technology centre developed in collaboration with Chinar Quantum AI. Unlike traditional classrooms, the hub focuses on real-world problem solving, project execution, and direct mentorship from engineers and researchers.
“Tauha is not an exception; he represents what students can achieve when given the right ecosystem,” said Mohammad Yousuf Wani, Founder of GVEI.
Dr. Rukhsan ul Haq, CEO and Chief Scientist of Chinar Quantum AI, said the goal is to nurture talent that can compete globally. “We are building problem-solvers, not degree holders. Tauha proves that capability matters more than credentials,” he said.
Tauha’s family described the moment as unbelievable. “We only wanted him to study well. We never imagined he would achieve this while still in school,” they said.
The development comes against the backdrop of rising unemployment in Jammu and Kashmir, where over 3.6 lakh educated youth remain jobless. Experts say the story highlights a shifting paradigm—where skills, innovation, and exposure may increasingly outweigh formal qualifications.
As more students prepare for upcoming internship screenings at the Innovation Hub, Tauha’s journey stands as a powerful reminder: the future may belong not just to the qualified, but to the capable.
