Chinar Quantum AI, GVEI sign MoU
Aim to kickstart Deep Technology Innovation Hub
Srinagar: Kashmir’s First School-Anchored Deep Technology Innovation Hub was established at Green Valley Educational Institute. The step has been initiated by Chinar Quantum AI which signed a Memorandum of Understanding with GVEI, a handout issued by Chinar Quantum said.
A historic collaboration under India’s National Education Policy 2020, the National Quantum Mission, and the India AI Mission formally launches the GVEI Innovation Hub, bringing Artificial Intelligence, Quantum Technology, Robotics, Cybersecurity, and Entrepreneurship education directly to the school campus, serving students, parents, teachers, and the broader community of Srinagar, it said.
Green Valley Educational Institute and Chinar Quantum AI Private Limited has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding at the GVEI Campus, Ellahibagh, Buchpora, Srinagar, establishing the GVEI Innovation Hub, Kashmir’s first school-anchored Deep Technology education centre, the handout added.
The ceremony was conducted in the presence of institutional leadership, a curated group of parents, and invited media representatives from both institutions. This is not a technology showcase. It is not a competition reserved for the most gifted students in science, the statement said.
It is a commitment by two institutions that every child, regardless of whether they aspire to become a doctor, a lawyer, a farmer, an artist, an entrepreneur, a civil servant, or a scientist, will need to understand and confidently use deep technology as a basic working skill. The question is no longer whether Artificial Intelligence will enter every sector of society. It already has. The question now is whether our children will be the ones who shape it, or the ones shaped by it, it concluded.
Notably, Green Valley Educational Institute was founded in 1990 by Mohammad Yousuf Wani, a visionary entrepreneur and educator who chose to build a school during one of the most turbulent periods in Kashmir’s modern history.
Today, GVEI is home to a student community of over 8,000 learners, supported by a dedicated faculty, 100 GPS-enabled buses, advanced science laboratories, a fully operational Atal Tinkering Lab, smart classrooms, a robotics space, and an institution-wide culture of academic excellence and social responsibility.
Chinar Quantum AI Private Limited (CQAI), founded in 2022, is Kashmir’s first and India’s first Quantum-AI company, built from the ground up in Srinagar. The organisation was founded by Dr. Rukhsan ul Haq, a quantum physicist and the first Kashmir-born scientist to join IBM Quantum, the world’s leading quantum
computing programme. Dr. Haq left IBM to build CQAI with a singular conviction: that the deep technology revolution reshaping global economies must reach every corner of India, including those historically underserved by opportunity.
CQAI operates through its Transformative Learning Lab (TLL), a specialised division dedicated to structured, outcome-driven deep technology education across India. The TLL delivers programmes in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Quantum Computing, Quantum Encryption, Robotics, and related domains. Its global research team includes scholars trained at IBM Quantum, the Max Planck Institute, the Helmholtz Center Munich, the Juelich Research Centre, and leading universities across Germany and Europe.
