Boy drowns in power canal in Kangan
Srinagar: A massive rescue operation was launched on Tuesday afternoon after a boy drowned in a Power Canal in Hariganiwan area of Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
A senior police official said that a 14 year old boy drowned in the power canal when he was taking a bath.
He said soon after the incident, a rescue operation was launched by locals, SDRF and police. The officer identified the boy as Asif Ahmad Kassana, son of Muhammad Lateef Kassana of Hariganiwan.
