Militants, forces exchange fire in Lolab forest in north Kashmir
Srinagar, June 23:Militants and security forces on Tuesday exchanged fire in forests of Lolab area of North Kashmir’s Kupwara district, reports said.
According to the reports, a joint team of Police, Army’s 28RR and CRPF launched a cordon-and-search-operation in Lolab forests.
SSP Kupwara ShriRam Ambarkar confirmed the exchange of fire between the joint team and the militants. However, right now there is no firing going on as the incident was reported deep inside the forest. More reinforcements have been rushed to the forest, added the SSP. (GNS)
